About me

I've been a full-time freelance copywriter since 2003, working for a number of large, multinational clients (Barclays, Which?, Faurecia, BNP Paribas) and more than 200 small to medium businesses, startups and charitable organisations.

Since 2007 I've also been involved in writing, producing and editing Business Matters magazine, the UK's most popular small business publication.

My first book was published in 2007. I'm currently working on two others for various publishers, one of which - Carrier Books - is my own business, launched in 2009.

I hold Bachelors (first class) and Masters degrees in English from the University of Wales, Bangor, and a Postgraduate Certificate of Education in English teaching from Lancaster University (1997).

Before I started my business, I taught English to secondary school and 'A'-level students for seven years. I've also taught English and English Lit. to university students and adult learners.

I live in Snowdonia. In my spare time I enjoy playing the piano, mountain biking and going for long walks with the dog.

What my clients say...

'Bill's training greatly improved our internal communications and has proved invaluable in the continual improvement of both customer relations and supplier development.'
